To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a Compliance Lead, to drive Aarke’s path to documented, verified sustainable success for our products. Role and Responsibilities
As a Compliance Lead you will ensure that Aarke products and processes comply with all legal regulations and standards for all Aarke markets. You also make sure that all documents are in place and order at the right time to ensure successful product launches and market success. The role includes making sure that documentation and manuals are compliant with regulations and overseeing Declarations of Conformity. You will also ensure that Aarke products are performing in line with voluntary market-driven standards. In this role you will report to our Quality and Sustainability Manager.
You will be involved in the following tasks and have the following responsibilities:
- Map mandatory compliance requirements and non-regulatory certification needs for our products and markets.
- Coordinate and track ongoing product testing and certification with third party labs or via Aarke suppliers.
- Compile and maintain technical files, by developing and maintaining our database of all active compliances.
- Map and select recycling organizations and their respective requirements for labeling the products in each country.
- Map and gather information from our supply chains regarding ESG requirements.
- Make sure that relevant stakeholders (R&D, Q&S Manager, product management) are proactively informed about related legislative and standard changes.
Your Profile
For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in working with regulatory and compliance-related questions preferably within consumer products. You need to have extensive knowledge of mandatory, and voluntary, market requirements to obtain market access in regions worldwide. Having a curious mindset and ability to deep dive into technical product details and standards, the Compliance Lead handles compliance-related discussions internally and with suppliers.
Qualifications
Aarke is looking for a person that has:
- M.Sc. or BS degree in engineering or equivalent working experience
- Compliance certification knowledge and understanding of EU CE marking process, North American and APAC regulations and voluntary compliance certificate of household products.
- Ability to navigate/interpret ambiguity of standards.
- Knowledge in the fields of engines, electronic design, mechanical design
- Experience in working with product safety.
It’s a bonus if you have experience from working with IEC 60335-1, working with chemical standards or if you have taken products through a compliance process.
