Aarke is a Swedish design company offering a range of premium home essentials engineered to elevate everyday routines. Founded in 2013 by two experienced industrial designers, we are on a mission to re(de)fine the home appliances industry. Our flagship product, the Aarke Carbonator, has gained a cult following worldwide, with customers in more than 30 countries. Aarke prides itself on taking ideas from concept to market, always pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology, with design, quality and sustainability as guiding principles. We are now looking to strengthen our Product team with an Industrial Designer.

Role and Responsibilities

As an Industrial Designer at Aarke, you will be involved in:

• Supporting the projects with everything from visionary renderings to hands-on industrial design craftmanship with obsessive care for details.
• CMF design
• Packaging design
• POS / Retail design
• Be part of establishing and evolving Aarke’s product design identity
• Visualizing ideas for roadmap strategy decisions
• Building physical mock-ups
• Creating stunning presentations
• CAD modelling (surface modelling)
• Collaborating with our team of creative engineers
• Testing and evaluating functionality.

Who are you?

Like the rest of us, you are a passionate product and design nerd with a keen interest in premium user experiences. To succeed in this role, you need to be a self-driven individual with exceptional storytelling skills, both verbal and visual, who possesses a natural curiosity for observing everyday moments and finding innovative ways to elevate them through design. You should have an open mind and a genuine interest in feedback, thoughts, and ideas from anyone in the company, as collaboration and team-based decision-making are integral to our culture. A passion for creating the best products in our industry is essential, along with the ability to seamlessly combine function, aesthetics, sustainability, and quality into exceptional designs. Finally, a strong interest in manufacturing and engineering will be key to thriving in this role.

Profile

- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.

- Master’s degree in industrial design is a merit.

- Experience in designing consumer products.

- Excellent skills in CAD, preferably Rhino and Keyshot

- A portfolio of work proving that your design philosophy fits the Aarke brand values.

Aarke has a hybrid work model, offering remote work two days per week and three days at our HQ in Stockholm.
