As we continue our exciting growth journey, we are seeking a driven individual to help us take our online sales to the next level, with a specific focus on e-commerce. The ideal candidate will bring expertise, innovation, and a deep understanding of the digital marketplace to accelerate our progress and reach new milestones.
The position
As Head of Online Sales, you will play a pivotal role in securing our online strategy. You will work to ensure effective ways of working, tools, and capabilities to support sustained, profitable growth. As a vital member of the Commercial team, you’ll drive continuous improvements in our commercial business, working cross-function to achieve this.
In this role, you will lead the online sales and performance marketing team, driving strategic decision-making and initiatives to achieve sustained, profitable growth across our global e-commerce and Amazon Seller in key markets, including the USA, Germany, France, and the UK. Leveraging insights from both internal and external data analysis, you will develop and execute impactful strategies, campaigns, and activities to enhance brand awareness, drive traffic, and maximize conversion rates.
In this role, you will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and work under a one-year temporary contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive the Sales for e-commerce and Marketplaces: Oversee and optimize all aspects of direct-to-consumer online sales and marketplaces. Strategically allocate resources, develop data-driven strategies, and manage daily operations to enhance customer reach, conversion rates, and profitability. Optimize campaigns across different markets to elevate online channel growth. Guide the Online Sales team with a structured approach, fostering accountability, strategic focus, and consistent progress toward GP3 targets.
- Guide the content process: Work closely with the brand team to specify commercial needs based on insights and the online strategy. Enable them to design and execute insight-driven marketing and sales. Ensure a streamlined process from initial concept to continuous development, maximizing campaign effectiveness. Facilitate smooth collaboration between the brand team’s asset and campaign development processes and the execution, iteration, and optimization of ads.
- Team lead and Enablement: Continuously coach and empower the Online Sales team to grow alongside Aarke. Foster a culture of performance excellence, personal development, and accountability to ensure every team member contributes to achieving organizational goals.
Who are you?
You are strategic, data-driven, and possess extensive experience in e-commerce (preferably with marketplace 2P-3P experience) for consumer products within an international landscape. Passionate about the online sales field, you excel in roles that require both big-picture vision and hands-on execution capabilities. With a strong commercial focus, you bring expertise in optimizing online sales performance and expanding brand presence, balancing a commitment to sustainable, profitable growth with deep analytical insights.
Profile
- Extensive experience in data-driven online sales, specializing in e-commerce.
- Experience in forecasting and building business cases for profitable growth
- Solid understanding of performance marketing
- Proven record of achieving substantial online business growth.
- Experienced leader with a strong track record.
- Familiarity with online marketplaces, particularly Amazon, is advantageous.
- Understanding of profit bidding, POAS aka. gp3 maximization
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
